The Overnight Success

So you want to be an overnight success, that is great because we all do!! But overnight success is not real success, you are required to put in a whole different level of work in order to achieve that dream of yours. Success is not cheap, it requires your persistent, undying efforts.

Let's face it, no one knows about the ugly struggles of the journey until the individual has actually made it, prior to that no one is interested in how much you are fighting for your dreams because the truth of the matter is that everyone is fighting for their dreams.

Your dreams are not going anywhere if you leave your dreams on paper. I am sure you are familiar with the quote 'The dream is free but the hustle is sold separately' so get to work, stop waiting to become an overnight success because there is no such thing.

Just because you see people spring to celebrity and it looks as though they were nowhere before go and check out their background story because everyone has a story that created their platform whether it is a good story or a bad story, there is always a story.

So today I want to encourage you to get to work and stop waiting for life to just fall into place, you are the one who holds the vision and the vision will not work unless you do, so do not stop working for what you believe you can achieve. Do not drop the energy levels because you hit a stumbling block the stumbling block is all part of the story because one day you will share your story with people who are willing to listen, willing to learn and willing to grow.

If you are prepared to put in the work then no doubt you will get there but it will not happen overnight.

Thanks for reading and sharing these blog posts

This week on the blog we have fashion blogger and media influencer, Fisayo Longe Check out what Fisayo shares this week on the blog.

What inspired you to get into the world of Blogging?

I just wanted a place to document my travels and cute outfits. I didn’t really think about it too much- it was just for fun!

What piece of work are you most proud of and why?

I am most proud of the messages I receive from other girls and women (and sometimes men too!) telling them how much my work has inspired them to be more confident or to build something new and live a life that they are proud of. That will always be the most important thing I do. I’m also very proud of KAI and also the work I do with brands that I grew up in awe of such as Nike.

Who do you look up to/who inspires you and why?

My mum! My mum is the most amazing human being. She is so beautiful, hardworking, brave, intelligent, loving, selfless, everything good! She inspires me so much and I owe so much of who I am to her.

What are some of the biggest hurdles challenges that you have had to face so far in the wonderful world of blogging?

Ummmm I haven’t faced that many challenges in blogging except maybe being ignored or overlooked for some opportunities but that’s not a big deal- I just have to keep working harder and proving myself. I’ve had more hurdles with setting up and running KAI than with blogging- that’s where I really had to dig deep and find the inner strength to persevere.

What would you say to anyone who is at the point of giving up on their dreams?

You can always re-evaluate things and change your approach to them but never give up! It takes years to make an 'overnight success’ and all good things take time, perseverance and consistency. Keep going!!!
